Hi, my name is Melody — full-time designer, full-time mom, part-time makeup artist, and officially an educated, Bachelor’s-degree-holding fashion designer since 2017. 🤍

Fashion has always been a huge part of my life. What started with sketching designs in high school turned into earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, having my work featured at New York Fashion Week, and building a career in the fashion industry. Since then, I’ve worked everywhere from retail stores to freelance design, creating for brands throughout the wholesale fashion industry.

And as a girl who is completely obsessed with fashion and keeping up with the latest trends, there was always ONE major issue I couldn’t ignore:

What about the short girls?!

Enter — ME!

At 5 feet tall, I know the struggle firsthand. Every time I found a trendy pair of jeans I loved, I would end up putting them right back. They were too long, the rise was too high, or the proportions were just completely off.

And hemming them? Sometimes that wasn’t even an option. By the time you cut several inches off the bottom, you lose the original hem, the shape changes, and the jeans don’t even look the way they were designed to look.

Then one day — ding, ding! 💡

The light went off.

Because why should we have to choose between jeans that actually fit and jeans that are actually on trend? We deserve to be just as trendy as the girl next door — without having to alter everything we buy.

And that’s how Belmi Lane was born.

Belmi Lane is denim made specifically for us short girls — 5'2 and under. We obsess over the details that matter on a petite frame: the inseam, the rise, the proportions, the fit, and where everything actually falls on your body.

No more rolling. No more cutting. No more hemming.

Just really good, trendy jeans designed to fit us from the beginning.

The name Belmi is also incredibly personal to me. It combines two names that mean the world to me: my daughter, Bella, and me, Melody. I wanted this brand to represent not only my love for fashion and design, but also my family and a dream that is very close to my heart.

And jeans are only the beginning.

In 2027, Belmi Lane will begin expanding into more categories, with the same mission in mind: creating trendy clothes specifically for petite women and the proportions of our bodies.
